1. Treat your neighbors with respect

Behind every profile is a real person. Speak to others as you would face-to-face: be constructive, assume good intent, and disagree without attacking the person.

  • Do not harass, threaten, bully, or shame others.
  • Do not post personal attacks, slurs, or degrading comments.
  • Keep criticism focused on ideas, actions, or experiences.

2. Make room for everyone

We do not allow content that promotes hatred, exclusion, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, or another protected characteristic.

3. Keep conversations useful and local

Post in the place where your message will be most helpful. Neighborhood updates belong in the local feed; shared interests and broader conversations belong in relevant groups.

  • Use accurate titles and choose the right category.
  • Avoid repetitive posts, engagement bait, and unrelated promotion.
  • Correct information when you learn that it is inaccurate.

4. Be authentic

Use an identity that represents you honestly. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or create accounts intended to deceive the community.

5. Do not put others at risk

Content or activity that could cause physical, financial, or emotional harm is prohibited. This includes credible threats, scams, fraud, exploitation, instructions for serious wrongdoing, and sharing private information without permission.

6. Participate honestly in local commerce

Businesses and service providers should be transparent about who they are and what they offer. Promotions must be relevant, lawful, and posted in designated spaces. Reviews should reflect genuine firsthand experiences.

Moderation and enforcement

We review reports in context and may limit distribution, remove content, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently remove an account. The action depends on severity, risk, and prior behavior.

Reporting is for potential rule violations—not ordinary disagreement. Repeated misuse of reporting tools may itself lead to restrictions.
